 Lewis Padgett/Henry Kuttner/C.L. Moore

The husband and wife team that set new standards for collaborative writing. Kuttner was a member of the Lovecraft circle, C.L. Moore revolutionized Weird Tales with her Northwest Smith stories in the '30s. They stopped writing when Hank dropped dead in the early fifties of a heart ailment: their short stories explore many of the same themes that PKD would later investigate. Indeed, early on in his career PKD was noted for having 'echoes of Kuttner.' Not so much forgotten as neglected. Any of their short story collections are worth the price, but their work in the '40s is most exciting even today.

Just found this thread after posting about Moore in Kornbluth's thread. But my sentiments are still the same, just got her husband wrong for a second.

I had a copy of her short stories that were published in Weird Tales, and haven't been able to find another. I do have "Doomsday Morning," which is good but nothing like what she wrote for Weird Tales.
